PlutusMiles Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the PlutusMiles service, which allows you to redeem rewarded +PLUS points for air-miles (‘Miles’). By using PlutusMiles, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the service.

1. Etihad Guest Programme Terms and Conditions

1.1. The terms and conditions of Etihad apply to all Miles redeemed through PlutusMiles.
1.2. It is your responsibility to verify Etihad terms on their official website before completing a PlutusMiles swap.
1.3. Plutus does not guarantee the validity or applicability of Etihad’s terms and accepts no liability for discrepancies caused by external changes.Issuance of air miles is subject to the discretion of Etihad and may be changed without notice.
1.4. Redemption limits, flight routes, ticket classes, peak travel seasons, and membership tiers are governed by Etihad’s terms.

2. Frequent Flyer Loyalty Service Numbers

2.1. Users are responsible for providing the correct loyalty membership number to receive reward miles.
2.2. If an incorrect number is provided, Plutus will assist in resolving the issue where possible but does not guarantee mile credit corrections.
2.3. Users must have an existing Etihad loyalty membership account. Plutus does not facilitate automatic enrolment in Etihad’s programme.

3. Fair Usage Policy

3.1. To ensure equitable access, PlutusMiles is subject to a fair usage policy that prevents misuse and disruption of platform operations.
3.2. Misuse includes excessive transactions beyond reasonable personal use or behaviours that compromise platform functionality.
3.3. Plutus reserves the right to take corrective actions, including account restriction, suspension, or termination. Users will be informed of any action and given an opportunity to appeal.

4. Modifications to Terms

4.1. Plutus reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use. Significant changes will be communicated to users with at least 14 days’ notice.
4.2. Minor updates or clarifications will take effect immediately upon posting.
4.3. Continued use of PlutusMiles constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

5. Data Privacy and Security

5.1. Some user data, such as loyalty membership numbers, will be shared with third parties only to the extent necessary for processing transactions.
5.2. Plutus complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR, to safeguard user data. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

6. Reward Miles Transactions Tracking

6.1. Users will receive an email notification for every transaction to monitor exchanged miles.

7. Misuse Policy

7.1. PlutusMiles must not be used to infringe upon laws or regulations.
7.2. Reselling air miles is strictly prohibited. 
7.3. Non-compliance may result in corrective actions, including account suspension, restricted platform access, or permanent account closure for repeated breaches.

8. Loss of Reward Miles

8.1. Plutus is not liable for financial loss resulting from the refusal, cancellation, or withdrawal of any reward by Etihad.
8.2. Plutus will assist users in addressing theft or misuse of air miles where possible but cannot guarantee resolution in cases of fraud or criminal activity.

9. Fees. and Transactions

9.1. Applicable fees will be clearly displayed in the app before completing a transaction.
9.2. A service fee may apply, with potential surcharges for high-volume transactions. Adjustments will be notified transparently within the app.
9.3. Users have the right to review and accept fees before proceeding with transactions.

10. Air Miles Redemption

10.1. Redemption limits apply based on Etihad’s policies, such as flight routes, ticket classes, and peak travel seasons.
10.2. Air miles are typically credited within 2 hours but may take longer in exceptional cases. Users will be informed of significant delays.

11. Regional Availability

11.1. Access to PlutusMiles services may vary by region due to local regulations and vendor availability. Users will be informed of limitations at the time of service access.

12. Monitoring and Compliance

12.1. Use of PlutusMiles is subject to continuous monitoring to ensure compliance and prevent misuse. Monitoring complies with applicable data protection laws.

13. Non-Return Policy

13.1. All PlutusMiles transactions are final. Exceptions will be made for errors attributable to the Plutus platform.

14. User Support and Issue Resolution

14.1. For any issues, users can contact Plutus support via the webform with relevant details. Plutus will address and resolve issues promptly, providing updates within 5 business days where necessary.
