Full Ownership Benefits of CRY – Compounding Rewards Yield

The Compounding Rewards Yield (CRY) programme is designed to reward long-term loyalty to the Plutus ecosystem. Here’s how it benefits you:

  1. Penalty-Free Transfers After 12 Months
    If you transfer earned PLU using free payouts to a connected wallet and complete the 12-month CRY stacking period, you can then move that PLU to a non-connected wallet without any penalties.

  2. Penalty-Free Transfers of CRY Rewards
    The additional PLU rewards earned from completing the 12-month CRY stacking period, along with any associated multipliers, can also be transferred penalty-free.

In Summary: By participating in CRY, you secure full ownership of your earned PLU, unlock greater flexibility, and earn more rewards. Unlocking New Reward Level & Free Payouts Access

What do I need to qualify for new loyalty features like free payouts, double rewards, and PlutusGits revamp access in Q2?

To qualify for these benefits, you need to have added the required PLU to reach your next level up since 7th January in your external wallet. This must be completed correctly before 20th February. More details below.

What if I’ve already unlocked a new reward level using internal balance?

Internal balances from 7th January onwards do not count towards accessing new benefits if used to unlock new levels. We’ve sent you the correct PLU amount you would have needed in your external wallet since 7th January, and further details have been provided in the email.

What if I unlocked a new level using my internal balance but have added more PLU to my external wallet since then?

If you unlocked a new level using your internal balance and added more PLU to your external wallet without surpassing the next level up, you’ll need to reach the next reward level. The PLU amount provided in the email will no longer apply, as you’ve already used an incorrect balance to unlock your current level. To qualify for the benefits, you must now unlock it using your external wallet before the 20th February cut-off.

Note: We recommend completing the steps by 17th February to avoid delays that may impact your benefits.

What if I've added more PLU to my external wallet but reduced my internal stack?

If you've added more PLU to your external wallet but reduced your internal balance, ensure this reduction hasn't impacted your total stacking figures. Since your reward level status is determined by your total PLU stacked, any decrease in your internal balance could affect your eligibility for new benefits when unlocking higher levels.

Free Payouts Processing Times & Limits

  • Processing Time: All free payouts will be processed within 7 working days during this transition (current times are much shorter).

  • Paid Payouts: Users opting for the paid service will have their payouts processed within 24 hours.

  • 999 PLU Payout Limit: High-level stackers with more than 999 PLU earned in-app can use multiple free payout credits available to them based on their Reward Level. Each free payout credit allows a payout of exactly 999.99 PLU.

  • Processing After Deadline: No worries—just initiate your first payout request before February 20th. Any payouts still in process after the cut-off will count towards your Reward Level and CRY. Subsequent free (or paid) payout requests will also be honoured, as long as the first payout request is made before the cut-off, ensuring your benefits remain unaffected.

  • Rewards Balance Exceeding Free Payout Credits: If your balance exceeds the limits available with your  free credits, the remaining PLU will incur a 33% dynamic fee.
To be eligible for "Processing After Deadline" make sure to initiate your first payout with the maximum limit of 999 PLU before the 20th February 2025.
Furthermore, initiate your subsequent payout requests within 24 hours of the completed payout and each payout must be the maximum amount of PLU available for payouts to correctly qualify.
Not following these rules will result in loss of CRY or other Reward Level benefits.

Are there restrictions on requesting PLU payouts?

No, there are no restrictions on requesting PLU payouts. You can request a payout at any time as long as you follow our Terms of Use.

What’s the difference between paid and free PLU payouts?

  • Paid Payouts: These payouts require paying a dynamic fee (currently 33%) and allow you to transfer PLU to any non-connected wallet without incurring any penalties.

  • Free Payouts: Available only to eligible customers who meet specific criteria. Free payouts are intended for self-custody stacking in your connected wallet. PLU from a free payout cannot be transferred to a third-party wallet without penalty unless you:
    • Pay the 33% fee, or
    • Complete a 12-month CRY stacking period

How do you achieve full ownership of PLU without penalties?

You can either:

  • Pay a 33% dynamic fee, or
  • Complete a 12-month CRY stacking period.

Can I transfer earned PLU to a connected wallet and earn CRY?

Yes, you can transfer PLU rewards from the app to a connected wallet and stack them for 12 consecutive months to earn CRY rewards and annual multipliers.

What happens if I transfer earned PLU to a non-connected wallet before completing the 12-month stacking period?

If you transfer PLU rewards to a non-connected wallet before completing 12 months in your connected wallet:

  • Penalty: You’ll incur a penalty unless you pay the dynamic payout fee.
  • Avoiding the Penalty: To transfer PLU without a penalty, you must complete the full 12 months in your connected wallet.

What if I transfer earned PLU after completing the 12-month stacking period?

After completing 12 months of stacking:

  • No Penalty: You can transfer your PLU rewards to any non-connected wallet without penalty.
  • Full Ownership: Your CRY rewards, including multipliers, will also be eligible for transfer without penalty.

Can I transfer CRY earnings from PLU rewards stacked to a non-connected wallet?

Yes, after completing the 12-month stacking period, you can transfer your PLU rewards (previously transferred and stacked in your self-custody wallet via free payouts), along with any CRY earnings and earned multipliers, to a non-connected wallet without penalties.

Can I transfer my externally sourced PLU stacked in a connected wallet without penalties?

Yes, you can transfer externally sourced PLU (PLU that wasn't earned as rewards) into and out of a connected wallet without any penalties. However, please note the following:

  • Loss of Pending CRY Earnings: You will lose any additional associated CRY earnings from externally sourced PLU in the pending balance unless the 12-month stacking period is completed.
  • Potential Loss or Downgrade of Reward Levels: You may lose or downgrade your reward level benefits if you de-stack below the required PLU threshold for each level.

Free PLU Payouts: Tracking and Violations

What are the penalties?

If you transfer earned PLU to a non-connected wallet without meeting the conditions (such as paying the 33% fee or completing the 12-month stacking period), can result in either:

  • Loss of some or all Reward Level benefits.
  • Increased PLU requirements to maintain Reward Levels.
  • Account suspension in rare cases for misuse, as outlined in our terms.

How can I track which PLU can be transferred to non-connected wallets?

It's simple. All CRY earnings, once moved from pending to the available balance, will appear separately from PLU rewards earned from card spending. This makes it easy to know which amount can be transferred anywhere you wish after moving it to your connected wallet.

Mixed PLU Pot Edge Cases

What happens if I have both eligible and ineligible PLU in my wallet?

Example:

  1. You transfer 50 PLU with a 33% fee (paid payout) and another 50 PLU with no fee (free payout).
  2. You now have 100 PLU in your connected wallet—50 PLU is eligible for transfer (from the paid payout), and 50 PLU is ineligible (from the free payout).

If you transfer 49 PLU to a non-connected wallet:

  • No penalty: You are within the 50 PLU eligible limit.

If you transfer an additional 2 PLU to a non-connected wallet:

  • Penalty applied: This exceeds your eligible 50 PLU limit.

What if I stacked PLU for 6 months, then paid it out to a connected wallet? When can I transfer it to a third-party wallet?

PLU must be stacked for 12 consecutive months in a connected wallet before it becomes eligible for transfer to a third-party wallet without penalty.

Can I transfer externally sourced PLU without penalties?

Yes, but any CRY associated with this externally sourced PLU will be forfeited unless the 12-month CRY stacking period is complete.

What PLU can I transfer without penalties to a non-connected wallet?

You can transfer PLU penalty-free to a non-connected wallet under the conditions outlined in the table below:

Q1: Transition from Internal to External Reward Level Stacking

1) New Reward Level Benefits: Free Payout

Who is eligible for New Reward Level Benefits, including Free Payouts?

Free payouts are available to customers who meet both of the following criteria:

  • Maintained a Reward Level: Held any Reward Level for more than 12 consecutive months without downgrade.
  • No Prior Transfers: Never transferred earned PLU to a non-connected wallet before 20th Feb and only requested payouts for self-custody stacking in a connected wallet.

Note: Auto-downgrades on August 1, 2024, due to new reward level adjustments will not incur penalties.

Note: To retain your benefits, ensure that you stay at or above your highest qualifying Reward Level. If you drop below the level that made you eligible, you will lose all associated benefits.

What if I don’t meet the criteria?

If you don’t qualify, you’ll need to stack rewards in your external wallet to progress before 20th February:

  • Unlock a New Level (e.g., Noob to Hero)
  • Unlock a Sub-Level (e.g., Veteran to HoneyBadger+

Example: if you currently have 2,000 PLU externally stacked and an internal PLU balance of 500 PLU, you would need to stack the remaining 500 in an external wallet to reach Veteran (3,000 PLU) by 20th February to get a free payout.

Please note that any additional internal PLU in ‘Available’ balance after 7th January will not count towards unlocking a higher Reward Level and you must use external wallets to do so.

Note: You can use PLU that you may have previously removed using the self-custody payout feature. Don’t leave it until the last minute—make sure you unlock a new level well before the due date and request a free payout. Don’t worry, as long as you request a payout before 20th February, your remaining internal PLU will be accounted for and won’t impact your Reward Level.

Note: To retain your benefits, ensure that you stay at or above your highest qualifying Reward Level. If you drop below the level that made you eligible, you will lose all associated benefits.

What if I don’t move PLU from internal to external?

If you don’t transfer your PLU to an external wallet:

  • Your Reward Level may be downgraded since only external PLU will count towards level progression.
  • You will stop earning Compounding Rewards Yield (CRY) on your internal PLU balance.

To maintain your benefits, we recommend transferring your PLU to a connected external wallet before the deadline.

2) CRY Earnings: During Transition

How do I avoid losing CRY on my internal PLU balance?

To continue earning CRY (Compounding Rewards Yield) without disruption, transfer all your PLU from the internal balance to your external connected-wallet before 20th February. Any remaining PLU left in your internal balance after this date will not earn CRY.

Example:

  • If you transfer 1,000 PLU but leave 1 PLU behind in your internal balance, you will continue earning CRY on the 1,000 but not the remaining 1 PLU.
  • To protect your CRY earnings: Transfer either the amount you want, or all 1,001 PLU to your external wallet before 20th February to avoid losing any CRY.

Important Notes:

Once PLU is transferred out, newly earned PLU in your internal balance will no longer earn CRY and only be available for redeeming on utilities, or self-custody payouts. Any CRY shown for newly earned PLU will be temporary and expire by 20th February.
